The concept of this project was to create a distinctive brand identity and packaging for AlaOlea, an olive oil company in Alachua, FL. For this concept project, we were given a brief outlining AlaOlea’s background information, target audience, project constraints, and required deliverables. AlaOlea focuses on local pride, natural beauty, and culinary excellence. They value sustainability and local farming practices. We did additional research to create a persona and conducted a competitor audit before beginning the creative process.
The logo includes a clean serif typeface that identifies AlaOlea as a gourmet brand. The O was transformed into an olive to identify AlaOlea as an olive oil brand in a simplistic manner. The olive brand ties in the lush greenery of the local Aluchua olive groves. The Olive color communicates sustainability while the Golden Oil color communicates friendliness and community.
