The LU Murph Challenge is a charity event benefiting the National Center for Healthy Veterans. Named after veteran and hero Lt. Michael P. Murphy, this cross fit challenge consists of a one mile run, one hundred pull ups, two hundred push ups, three hundred squats, followed by another one mile run. This student run event is backed by Liberty University’s School of Business. The circular aspect of the logo is associated with a weight plate. The typography is bold and in all caps to communicate the toughness of the event. The colors tie into Liberty’s color palette and are patriotic. The flag was brought in to demonstrate the patriotism that is the root of this event.
To advertise the event, event flyers and a billboard were designed. Flyers were posted around campus and the Lynchburg community. The billboard will be displayed on Wards Road outside of the entrance to Liberty University.
